Instant locs
Crochet techniques create a loc structure at installation. This method generally needs more workable length and a suitability assessment.
Loc extensions
Added hair can support your desired length or look. We assess your natural hair, added weight, attachment needs, and future maintenance.

Can my hair be loc’d yet?
Can I start with shorter hair?
Traditional starter locs can often be started on shorter hair. The workable minimum depends on your curl pattern, density, desired loc size, and starting method. There is no single minimum that fits everyone.
What if my sides are shorter or my length is uneven?
Uneven lengths or shorter sides do not automatically mean you have to wait. We assess those areas during your consultation and plan around what your hair can support.
Do instant locs need more length?
Instant locs generally require more workable length. Your consultation is where we assess whether that method fits your hair and the result you want.
